Who is responsible

When you open the site

The site runs on a server of STRATO GmbH in Germany. Cloudflare, Inc. sits in front of it as a network service: Cloudflare receives every request, protects the site against attacks and passes the request on to the server.

This processes your IP address, the time, the address you open, your browser's identification and the page you came from. The server writes these details to a log that is deleted after 14 days.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in delivering the site and running it securely (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Cloudflare processes the data on our behalf, also in the USA; the transfer relies on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, under which Cloudflare is certified.

Newsletter

When you subscribe to the newsletter, we store your email address, the language and the times of sign-up and confirmation. You only get the newsletter after clicking the link in the confirmation mail.

We delete unconfirmed sign-ups after 7 days. When you unsubscribe, with the link in every mail or by writing to us, we delete your address at once.

The mails go out through our own mail server on the same server in Germany. We do not measure whether you open a mail or click a link.

The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.

What the site does not do

No cookies, no analytics, no tracking, no ads. Fonts and videos are served from our server; nothing is loaded from other services.

The links to YouTube and Instagram are plain links. Only when you click them do those services' privacy policies apply.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, the right to object to processing based on legitimate interest, and the right to withdraw consent. An email to the address above is enough.

You can also complain to a data protection supervisory authority.
